Sita created Tandis Cafe in 2016 with the encouragement of family members and since then she has been inspired by many friends who have supported her during her journey. Sita has always had a passion for her Persian heritage especially when it comes to Persian ethnic foods, bread, and baked goods. This passion mixed with her desire for finding and tasting great quality bread and pastries inspired her to create Tandis Cafe products. 

The story of her journey began on her honeymoon trip in California when she got to try a great-tasting orange raisin walnuts cake for breakfast. The flavor of that cake was so great and satisfying that still to this day she remembers its flavor in her taste buds. After that, she tried to reproduce the same cake with the same flavor over the years. Thanks to her unique-tasting husband, he only wanted her to make the same orange raisin walnuts cake for him over and over again.
